The Colombian singer expresses her feelings in the chat show “Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Friday, where she says this year has become very rough for her.
“I’ve had a very rough year after my separation, and writing this song [‘Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53’] has been so important to me. It’s been a healthy way to channel my emotions.”
During the conversation with Fellon, the 46 years old singer confirmed that the song ‘Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53’ meant so much to her and also claimed that the song is for all those women who have got cheated on by their boyfriends. Shakira says she is like a sister who guides them in their rough time.
“I really felt that I don’t even have fans out there. I have a sisterhood of women who have been through the same things that I have been through, who think the way I think, who feel the way I feel, who had to put up with so much crap the way I had to.”
She added
“And I did write the song for me but also I feel that it was meant for so many women out there that needed a forum and a voice to represent them in so many ways”

The Three-time grammy winning singer and Spanish former football player called it quits on their 11 years of relationship after his affair with the 23-year-old girl Clara Chia Marti when Shakira had gone on a trip. The duo announced their split up in a joint statement on June 4, 2023 writing
“We regret to confirm that we are separating. For the well-being of our children, who are our highest priority, we ask that you respect our privacy. Thank you for your understanding.”
The duo shared two beautiful children Milan Piqué Mebarak,10, who was born on January 22, 2013, and Sasha Piqué Mebarak,8 was born on January 29, 2015. The Children are living with their mother, and the father is busy in his new relationship with Marti. The former football player also made his new relationship official by announcing his dating with Marti via an Instagram post with a picture of them together.
