Minnelli married concert promoter David Gest on March 16, 2002. Their Manhattan wedding cost around $3.5 million, according to E!. Bob Mackie created Minnelli’s wedding gown, and she was 56 years old at the time.

According to NBC News, their relationship was a combination of business and personal, with Gest functioning as her manager and preparing a successful return tour for her in 2002.
