Lofaso studied at the French Culinary Institute (now the International Culinary Center) in New York City while also working as a manager at Sean Combs’ restaurant, Justin. She later worked as a cook at Spago and Foxtail in Los Angeles.

Lofaso co-founded Black Market Liquor Bar in Studio City with Sal Aurora and Mario Guddemi in 2011. Lofaso found a home in the Black Market and the commercial partnerships she established. This cooperation would provide Lofaso with the creative flexibility he desired.

In 2014, Antonia Lofaso competed on Top Chef Duels against Mike Isabella, who had beaten her on Top Chef: All-Stars; she won the “duel.”

In 2012, Lofaso was featured on the Game Show Network’s Beat the Chefs as one of three professional chefs against whom the amateur chef competitors had to battle. The series lasted four episodes.
